C.L. Brown, 82, of Union passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 in St. Louis.

Mr. Brown, son of Aubrey Brown and wife Bertha (Tooley) was born September 4, 1938 in Evansville, Indiana.

C.L. was a tremendous guitar player and prouded himself on being a Thumb Picker.

C.L. was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Bertha Brown and one brother, Phillip Brown.

He is survived by one son, Randy Gortney and wife Lanett of Union; one brother, Kenneth Brown and wife Frankie of Pacific; two grandchildren, Emily Gortney and fiancé Nathan Smith and Caleb Gortney and wife Amanda; three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Lynnlee and Braxton; other relatives and many friends.

A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Evansville, Indiana at a later date.

Memorial donations to an organization of the donor's choice are preferred.
