Buford "Punch" Cash, 76, of St. Clair passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 in St. Clair.

Mr. Cash, son of George Washington Cash and wife Ruby Ruth Cash nee Tabor was born December 22, 1940 in Valley Park.

Punch served his country in the United States Army 82nd Airborne with 32 jumps.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and being a huge Nascar fan.

He was united in marriage to Carol Steen on October 2, 1962 and was blessed with two daughters.

Mr. Cash was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruby Cash; his youngest daughter, Karen Wheeler; three brothers, Paul Clifford Cash, Ray Jesse Cash and David Allen Cash and two sisters, Peggy Withington and Nancy Hargis.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Cash; one daughter, Shelli Cash Winders; son-in-law, Charles Wheeler; two brothers, George "Dude" Cash and Ira "Boone" Cash; four grandchildren, Scott Allen Wheeler, Charles Wheeler Jr., Dal Wheeler and Karah Wheeler; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
