Bret "Butterball" Messling, 24, of Union, passed away suddenly Friday, May 28, 2021 in Union.

On April 6, 1997 Bret was born to Michele (Burke) in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Bret graduated from Union High School in 2015.

He worked as a tire technician at Bolzenius Tire LLC in Union.

Bret was a likeable guy and enjoyed hanging out with his friends and burning rubber. He loved riding his motorcycles and bowling. Most of all Bret loved to be himself; being "butterball".

Bret was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Patricia Burke; both sets of maternal great-grandparents, Vincent and Madeline Burke as well as Joseph and Merle Brewer; two cousins, Jason Burke and T.J. Mews.

He is survived by his loving mother, Michele Messling of Union; sister, Paige Dobsch of Union; uncle, Mike Burke and wife Kelly of Wisconsin; cousins, Shannon Burke and Ashley Burke of Wisconsin; many, many other brothers and sisters; nieces; nephews; cousins; aunts; uncles; other relatives and certainly many, many friends.
