Brenda Lea (Shafferkoetter) Renshaw of Sullivan, MO was born April 9, 1954, in Rolla, MO; the daughter of Carl "Jack" Shafferkeotter and Bonnie (Parde). Brenda passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the age of 70 years.
Brenda received her education from Sullivan High School graduating with the class of 1972. She was united in marriage to Albert "Ted" Renshaw on October 13, 1979, and the couple celebrated 43 years of marriage before Ted's passing on September 15, 2022. She owned and operated Tahiti Tan and Salon in Sullivan for many years and was very proud of her shop. Brenda was a member of New Testament Baptist Church in Sullivan.
Brenda was very tough and extremely resilient. She had a stroke at the age of 18, but never let it slow her down. She was fun loving and had lots of friends that she enjoyed spending time with. She also loved animals, dogs especially, and her St. Louis Cardinals. The most important people in Brenda's life were her family and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Renshaw; her parents, Jack and Bonnie Shafferkoetter; and grandparents: Marvin and Cecil Parde, and Perry and Ada Shafferkoetter.
She is survived by one brother, Kurt Kimberlin and wife Debbie of St. Charles; adopted sister, Sue Ann Shafferkoetter of Salem; four stepchildren; her stepmother, Pat Shafferkoetter of Sullivan; one half-brother, Jack Shafferkoetter and wife Judy of Springfield; one half-sister, Cindy Clapp and husband Vince of Rolla; step-grandchildren; nephews and niece: Derick Kimberlin, Kyle and Amy Kimberlin, Justin Kimberlin, and Mary Adams; great-nephews: Landon, Gavin, and Lennox Kimberlin; devoted friends: Gary, Kaye, Frank, Bob, Sherri, and Cousin Jim; other cousins, relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Brenda Renshaw can be made to the American Stroke Association, American Heart Association, or the Franklin County Humane Society.
