Bonnie
Dixon
July 5, 1949 – August 11, 2025
Bonnie Opal (Hoemann) Dixon of Gerald, Missouri, was born July 5, 1949, in Washington, Missouri; the daughter of Roy Hoemann and his wife, Ruth (Breckenkamp). Bonnie passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, at the age of 76 years.
Bonnie received her education from the Union School District in Union. She was united in marriage to Tim Dixon on April 18, 1998, and the couple was one day short of their 27th wedding anniversary before Tim's passing on April 17, 2025. Bonnie and Tim loved to travel and took special delight in surprising their grandkids with spontaneous vacations. Bonnie was quite the collector, whether it was porcelain dolls, figurines, snow globes, or her personal favorites, cows. Bonnie had a real love for animals. She enjoyed playing bingo and card and board games with her kids and grandkids. She also liked having a wine cooler now and then, her "foo-foo" drinks, and sweet snacks. The time Bonnie cherished most was the time spent with her family and friends, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Dixon; her parents, Roy and Ruth Hoemann; one daughter in infancy, Veronica Courtouise; two great-grandchildren, Shannon Wood and Arizona Wood; five siblings, Betty Daniels, Cathy Courtoise, Catherine Hoemann, Treasa Selph, and Dennis Hoemann; sisters-in-law, Bernadette Hoemann, Brenda Hoemann, and Peggy Hoemann; and two nephews, Denny Hoemann and Jeremy Selph.
She is survived by one daughter, Beth Harbert and husband Andy, of Owensville; five sons, Dewane Courtouise and wife Elaine, of Gerald, Doug Courtouise and wife Traci, of Bourbon, Ronnie Courtouise and wife Crystal, of Gerald, John Dixon and wife Theresa, of Owensville, and Timmy Dixon and wife Maggie, of Kingdom City; seventeen grandchildren, Allyson (Nick), Drew (Shelby), Mackenzie (Dakota), Jordan, Veronica, Savannah, Brittyn, Dallas, Katelyn, Amber, Maddie, Sebastian, Carleigh, Delayni, Tate, Shawn, and Kimberly; seven great-grandchildren, Baxleigh, Klayton, Beau, Owen, Levi, Eli, and Andrew; and two more great-grandbabies on the way; siblings, David Hoemann, Larry Hoemann, Mark Hoemann, and Sally (Henry) Kreftmeyer; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Memorials in honor of Bonnie Dixon can be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
