Obituary

Bobbie "Bob" Gene Davis, 83 of St. Clair, passed away, Thursday, June 23, 2022, at his home, in the comforting presence of his family.

On November 20, 1938, Bob was born to his mother, Laura (Burns) Davis in St. Clair.

Bob was a graduate of St. Clair High School.

He was united in marriage on September 23, 1961, to Zelda (Medling) in St. Clair.

Bob along with his wife Zelda were members of the St. Clair Church of Christ.

He retired from McDonnell-Douglas in 1994 after 38 years of dedicated service working as an expeditor.

Bob was a collector of many things, such as stamps, coins, baseball cards and especially toothpick holders. After his retirement in 1994, Bob and Zelda began antique dealing hosting many booths at various antique malls. Some of the most precious memories were made on the several family vacations over the years that allowed them to visit nearly all fifty states. Bob loved his family above everything else and he will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Davis; one brother, Donald Ray Davis; grandson Randy Dawson Jr. and son-in-law, James Lampe.

Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Zelda Davis of St. Clair; four daughters, Terri Dawson (Randy) of Pacific, Delinda Davis of St. Clair, Paula Lampe-Graney (Daniel) of Creve Coeur & Michele Davis of St. Louis; five grandchildren, Michael Davis (Kali) of Troy, Rachel Clifton (Tyler) of Alabama, Nicholas Lampe of Creve Coeur, Katia Graney of Creve Coeur and Anthony Dawson of Arnold; five great-grandchildren, Austin, Caleb, Logan, Clara and Oliver; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations to St. Clair Church of Christ are preferred.
