Billy Lee Steen, 76, of St. Charles, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023, in the comforting presence of his loving family.
On October 21, 1946, Billy was born to the union of William Steen and Florence (White) in Sullivan, Missouri.
Billy proudly served his country in the United States Army & Air Force as well as the Reserves.
He obtained his Nursing Degree from Missouri Baptist College and worked as an RN.
Billy was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles.
On June 14, 1969, Billy was united in marriage to Carole (Eudaley) in St. Louis County.
Billy was an all-around family man. He enjoyed playing board and card games with his children and grandchildren. He attended all the grandkids' sports games and cheered them on from the sidelines. Billy was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoyed other sports as well along with soccer, baseball, and football. He never turned down a visit with family members, especially if he got a meal out of it. Billy enjoyed watching QVC, movies and Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction. Most of all, Billy loved his family and friends very much and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Steen and Florence Spindler; his sister and her husband, Carol Jean and Buford "Punch" Cash; brother-in-law, Roland Nickleson.
Billy is survived by his wife, Carole Steen of St. Charles; five children, Theresa Steen and husband Lee Martin of Lake St. Louis, Caroline Hannon and husband Robert of Lake St. Louis, William Steen and significant other Kayla Woodland of St. Charles, Elissa Steen and fiancé John Marshall of St. Charles and Melanie Steen and significant other Shan Lawson of O'Fallon; sister, Judy Budde and husband Doug of St. Louis; brother, John Steen of Oregon; seven grandchildren, Mackenzie Montross, Ashlynn Brown, Isabelle Brown, Braden Hannon, Addison Marshall, Spencer Marshall and Declan Marshall; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
