Billie Gene Sanson, 62, of Villa Ridge, passed away, Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
On June 3, 1960, Billie was born to the union of Billie Sanson and Barbara (Fydck) in St. Louis, Missouri.
Billie proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He was united in marriage to Cheryl Anne (Piper) on October 13, 1989 at the Sharp Shooters Club in Washington, Missouri.
Billie worked for Chrysler and Smurfit Stone (Graphic Packaging).
Billie enjoyed being outdoors, whether he was fishing, shooting guns or going camping. He loved to go rock hunting and had amassed a large collection over the years. Digging around at the local flea markets to see what treasures he could find was another of his favorite pass times. When Billie wasn't out and about, you could find him at home listening to music while he tinkered with his tools. Most of all, Billie loved his family. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billie Sanson and Barbara Pryor; sister, Donna Steffens; Sister-in-law, Debbie Pryor; daughter, Megan Willoughby; his wife, Cheryl Sanson.
Billie is survived by his two sons, Tim Blue of Cuba and Tom Blue and wife Michelle of Washington; two daughters, Amber Sanson-Reed of Villa Ridge and Christy Cox of Florida; one brother, Paul Wayne Pryor of Tennessee; one sister, Melonie Nance and husband Dennis of Washington; brother-in-law, Frank Steffens; three sisters-in-law, Charlene "Tink" Piper of Iowa, Christina Piper of Iowa and Crystal Hopwood and significant other John Ingles of Iowa; eleven grandchildren, Brooklyn Dains, Kaydence Sanson-Reed, Scottie, Jasmine, Jayden, Devon, Oliva Blue, Teagan Blue, William Blue, Jace Blue and Toby Blue; nieces; nephew; other relatives and many friends.
Bill will be cremated following the services and will then be inurned at Midlawn Memorial Gardens with his wife and daughter at a later date.
Memorial donations are appreciated to the American Diabetes Association.
