Bill R. Verge, 81, of Union passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 in Union.

Bill, son of James Verge and wife Edith (Vanslyke) was born December 21, 1938 in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.

On August 6, 1960 he was united in marriage to Nedra Asher in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Bill worked locally as a Principal and Teacher for Meramec R3 and as a Teacher at St. Clair High School. As a Teacher and Principal, he became part of many organizations associated with his career.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Union and the Cloud 9 Ranch where he made many friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife Nedra Verge of Union; two sons, Douglas Verge and wife Wendy of Cedar Rapids, IA and Clinton Verge and wife Tammy of Huntsville, AL; one sister, Rolleen Boling of Muskogee, OK; six grandchildren, Ryan Verge and wife Naomi of Clovis, New Mexico, Rebekah Verge of Kansas City, MO, Aaron Verge and wife Hannah of Kingsland, GA, Austin Verge of Cedar Rapids, IA, Logan Verge of Cedar Rapids, IA and Cameron Verge of Cedar Rapids, IA; two great-grandchildren, Renesmee and Lydia; two nieces, Joyce Skaggs and Mary Asher; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations to St. Paul Lutheran Church are preferred.
