Obituary

Bettye Swaller (née Hamilton), 66, of Union, passed away, Saturday, May 28, 2022, at her home in the comforting presence of her family.

On July 18, 1955, Bettye was born to the union of Joseph Hamilton and Carol ­­­­­Hamilton (née Wood) in Fayette, Alabama.

Bettye was united in marriage on May 25, 1985, to William J. Swaller I in High Ridge, Missouri.

She was a member of Moose Lodge 1745 in Union and founder of the "Travis Swaller Caring for Kids Foundation".

Bettye enjoyed many things in life. She was an avid "Betty Boop" collector. She enjoyed going bargain hunting, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and she never missed an episode of "Heartland". Bettye also enjoyed being outside enjoying nature while either barbequing or birdwatching. Most of all Bettye loved spending time with her family and friends and of course spoiling her grandkids. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Bettye was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Hamilton; brother, Edwin Hamilton; husband William J. Swaller I; her son, Travis Swaller.

She is survived by four sons, William Swaller II and wife Jodie of De Soto, Nathan Price of St. Joseph, Jeremiah Swaller of Boss and Plumas "Sonny" Swaller and wife Christa of Washington; one daughter, Amanda Swaller and partner T of California; one brother, Wayne Hamilton of Illinois; ten grandchildren, Jayden Lanasa and husband Nick, Jade Price, Shad Price, Bailey Price, Skyler Swaller, Ethan Price, Chase Swaller, Piper Swaller (honorary daughter), Morgan Swaller and Cecilia Swaller; fur-babies, Jersey and Pixie; other relatives and many friends.
