Westhoelter

Betty Jane (Klingsick) Westhoelter of Union, Missouri, peacefully passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the age of 82 years. Betty was born April 14, 1943, in Washington, Missouri; the daughter of Marvin Klingsick and his wife, Viola (Dingerson).
Betty received her education from Washington High School. On May 5, 1962, she was united in marriage to Marvin Westhoelter at St. Francis Borgia Church in Washington, and the couple celebrated 57 years of marriage before Marvin's passing in 2019.
Betty was an active member of both Holy Family Church (Port Hudson) and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. She worked as a hairdresser for years and then worked beside Marvin in various businesses throughout their lives. Betty enjoyed cooking, gardening, and creating and maintaining the family ancestries, histories, and lineages for both sides of both her and Marvin's families. She also enjoyed her monthly lunches with her classmates from high school.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Westhoelter; her parents, Marvin and Viola Klingsick; and one brother-in-law, James Gerhardt.
She is survived by three sons, Shane Westhoelter, of New Mexico; Shawn Westhoelter and significant other, Shelly Bays, of Imperial, and Shadd Westhoelter and wife Lori, of Sturgeon; one sister, Bonnie Gerhardt, of St. Louis; six grandchildren, Timothy (Lin) Westhoelter, Rashall (Justin) Wehmeyer, Raven (Karalyn) Westhoelter, Shari (Richard) Donnelly, Netanya Westhoelter, and Zackary Nowlin-Westhoelter; four step-grandchildren, Daymen, Sami, Brittany, and Devyn; seven great-grandchildren, Liam, Lincoln, Ashtyn, Evelyn, Lillianne, Blake, and McKinley; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Memorials in honor of Betty Westhoelter can be made to the American Cancer Society or Holy Family Church (Port Hudson).
