Betty V. Hughes, 91, of St. Clair, Mo., passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, at Grandview Health Care Center in Washington, Mo.

Betty was born on July 15, 1935, in Wentzville, Mo., to the late Arville Cotton and Virginia (Bradford) LaRose.

A hardworking and independent woman, Betty owned and operated her own cleaning company, Continental Cleaning Company for many years. She took great pride in her work and the relationships she built along the way.

In her free time, Betty enjoyed reading tarot cards and had a special interest in horoscopes. She was known for her unique spirit and the joy she found in the things that interested her most.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Arville Cotton and Virginia LaRose; her brother, Rick; and her sister, Jackie.

She is lovingly survived by her son, Gary Roberts of St. Clair, Mo.; her daughter, Deanna Zeigler of Millington, TN; her sisters, Donna, Maureen, and Marlene; four grandchildren, Nikki Lynn Messenger, Jennifer Lynn Roberts, Kristen Lynn Thompson, and Stephanie "Bella" Odinson; one great-granddaughter, Talon; along with other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

Per Betty's wishes, no services will be held at this time.
