Betty Pauline (Meyer) Heintz of St. Clair, MO a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025, at the age of 86 years.
Born in Qulin, MO on October 18, 1938, to Dorothy (Davis) and Adolph Meyer, she will be remembered for her warm and inviting smile, gentle spirit, and kind heart. She loved her family unconditionally and was always ready with a listening ear and Meemaw hugs. Her hobbies included bowling, sewing and crafting with her daughter, playing bingo, word games, and going to the casino to play the penny slots.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Thomas Heintz of St. Clair; children: twins Stan (Adrienne) Beeman of Sachse, TX, and Sonora (Steve) Copling of McKinney, TX, Tracey Beeman of St. Clair; one stepson, Tommy (Toni) Heintz of Mokane, MO; stepdaughters: Laurie (Jeff) Brown of Springfield, MO, and Kathy Powell of Kaiser, MO; siblings: Mary Burgette, Lee (Ellen) Meyer, Joann (Randy) Ray, Joette Payne, and Joe (Cindy) Burgette; along with 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Her family, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the highlight of her life, and making Meemaw's egg or sausage gravy and biscuits was one of her special ways of showing it.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Dorothy Meyer; one sister, Wilma Hoelscher; brothers: Robert Meyer and James Burgette; stepdaughters: Patty Gant and Becky Heintz; sons-in-law: Mark "Spider" Gant and Jerry Powell; and one grandson, Aaron Tiehes.
Please join us in celebrating Betty's life on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at 2:30 PM at The Ridge Church in Villa Ridge, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mercy Hospice Foundation (mercyhealthfoundation.net) or Samaritan's Purse (samsritanspurse.org).
