Obituary

Benjamin Michael "Superman" Peterson, 26, of St. Clair passed away Sunday the 13th of March at 9:51a, but due to his organ donations, he was not declared dead until Monday, March 14, 2016 at 7:02a in Washington.

Ben was born March 11, 1990 in Washington, MO.

Everyone is welcome to join us for Memorial Dinner at 3:30p at Gray Summit Masonic Lodge AFA&M, Gray Summit, MO.

Benjamin was the son of Michael Peterson and his wife Barbara (Van Treeck) Peterson.

Benjamin received his education at St. Clair High School and graduated Class of 2008.

Benjamin was a hard worker. He loved landscaping and was very proud of his job at Hillermann Nursery in Washington as a landscaper.

He enjoyed fishing, collecting Superman memorabilia and spending time with his children. He was an advocate of organ donation and gifted his organs upon his death to save others.

Benjamin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Mae Peterson.

He is survived by his fiancé, Elizabeth Dejesus of Washington; his parents, Michael and Barbara Peterson of St. Clair; two children, Lillian Rose Peterson and Izyk Michael Peterson; two brothers, Christopher Peterson and wife Kasi of St. Clair and Tyler Peterson of St. Clair; grandparents, Lionel B. Peterson of Union, Judith Michaelson of Grover Hill, OH and John Van Treeck Jr. and wife Gail of Lake Villa, IL; aunts and uncles, Lionel T. Peterson and fiancé Cynthia Kehoe of Sullivan, Karen Brown of St. Clair, Renee (Klarr) Randolph and husband Eric of Pflugerville, TX and Bill Van Treeck of Kissimmee, FL; nieces and nephews, Katelyn, Kirsten, James and Josh; and cousins Keegan and Kiersta Hoover, Loren Randolph, Laramie Van Treeck, Lindsay Jo Peterson, and Lionel Guy Peterson.

Over the years Benjamin was the host brother to 16 different foreign exchange students from all over the WORLD through the high school exchange program. Benjamin loved them all and they loved him!
