Benjamin "Ben" Louis Gadcke of Beaufort, MO passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 22, 2024 at the age of 31 years.  Ben was born August 23, 1992 in St. Louis, MO; the son of Dan Gadcke and Linda (Walkenhorst) Helmig.

Ben received his education from Union High School, graduating with the class of 2011.  He worked as a laborer in the construction trade.  Ben was a kind soul who took pleasure in helping others, especially those homeless or in need.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ben was preceded in death by his grandparents: Eva Gadcke, Roy and Alice Walkenhorst, and Joe and Gladys Helmig.

He is survived by his parents: Linda and Russell Helmig of Beaufort, and Dan Gadcke and significant other, Crystal Birmingham of Washington; three siblings: Lindze Gratza and husband Luke of Washington, Kyle Helmig and wife Paige of St. Clair, and Carter Helmig and wife Emma of Union; his grandfather, John Gadcke of Union; nieces and nephews: Demi Gratza, Dakota Kruel, Landin Baynes, Jase Helmig, Kolt Helmig, and Carson Helmig; aunts, uncles, and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Linda Helmig or Dan Gadcke for Ben's headstone fund.
