Barbara Speer, 74, of St Clair, passed away at her home on Saturday, July 5, 2025.  She was born in Poway, California, on October 29, 1950, to Robert and Charlotte (Rouillard) Turner. She was united in marriage to Robert Speer, at his family home in Antonia, on December 12, 1968.

Barbara was 1968 graduate of Northwest High School, then went on to earn her master's degree in business management and accounting at Southeast Missouri University, eventually getting her certification to teach special education and sign language at Grandview School District.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, St. Clair, where she was a bible study leader, and a very faithful Christian.  In her idle time, she enjoyed working puzzles of any kind, crocheting and reading.  She loved her dogs, her family, church family and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Speer; parents, Robert and Charlotte Turner, brother, Paul Turner.

She is survived by son, Robert Speer, II, and wife Julie of Union; daughter, Stephanie Brandt and husband Kevin of Washington; brothers, Mike, James and John; sisters, Judy and Katie; grandchildren, Emilie, Brenna, Kadin, Krista, Richard and Aaron; great-grandchildren, Margo and Quinn; other relatives and many friends.
