Obituary

Barbara Marie Rapert, age 79, passed away on October 25, 2026. Born on December 27, 1946, in Alton, Illinois, Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who treasured her family and the life they shared.

Barbara married her beloved husband, Kevin Rapert, on December 23, 1987, in Linn, Missouri. She dedicated much of her life to being a homemaker and raising her children, a role she held close to her heart. Her family was an important part of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Barbara enjoyed many hobbies and interests throughout her life. She loved cooking, baking, sewing, and crafting. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers and garden, listening to music, and going antiquing. A devoted St. Louis Blues fan, Barbara enjoyed watching her favorite hockey team. She was a member of the Catholic faith.

Barbara courageously battled cancer for the last three years. Though her journey was difficult, she will be remembered for the love she gave to her family and the memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Rapert, of Washington, Missouri; her daughters, Stacey (Kurt) Loehner, of Pleasant Garden, North Carolina; Christine (Bryan) Pini, of Town and Country, Missouri; and Patricia “Suzy” Petrallia, of Pleasant Garden, North Carolina. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Emily (Graham) Shaffer, Allison (Ryan) Loehner-Rutledge, Sam (Mariah) Loehner, Claire Pini, Ethan Pini, and Julian Petrallia; and her great-grandchildren, Odin and Olive Shaffer, and Paisley Loehner.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Murl and Marie (Ax) Paproth.

Barbara will be deeply missed by her beloved family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May the memories of her love, the time spent together, and the life she built with her family bring comfort to those who mourn her passing.
