Barbara August of Owensville, Missouri, formerly of Wisconsin, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024, in Washington, Missouri at the age of 91 years.

Barbara, daughter of Benjamin and Emma (Christopherson) Borgeson, was born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 30, 1933. She married Robert August, on December 19, 1953, and they enjoyed more than 59 years together before his passing in 2013.

She and Robert owned a resort in Chetek, Wisconsin for many years, where she enjoyed fishing lakeside or from the dock.  Barbara also was an avid Chicago Cub's fan. She occupied her spare time playing bingo and working word puzzles or jig saw puzzles.  She enjoyed the time spent with family and friends most of all.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Emma Borgeson; her husband, Robert August; brother, Robert Borgeson; and one sister, Lois Williams.

She is survived by three sons: Doug August and wife Cathy of Owensville, Missouri, Paul August and wife Jennifer of Pennsylvania, and Don August and wife Barbara of Illinois; six grandchildren: Alan August and wife Valerie of Hermann, Missouri, Jason August of Illinois, Benjamin August of Minnesota, Riley August of Wisconsin, Christopher August of Illinois, Allyssa August of Illinois; two great grandchildren: Emmalin and Alexis August of Hermann, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.
