August F. Eckenfels, 89, of Stover passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 in Osage Beach, Missouri.
Mr. Eckenfels, son, of August Eckenfels and wife Margaret nee Drinning was born November 9, 1928 in St. Louis County.
On July 26, 1981 he was united in marriage to Shirley Murray in Union.
His working career started as a Police Officer, later becoming a Carpenter and his last job was as an Over The Road Truck Driver.
Mr. Eckenfels was preceded in death by his parents, August and Margaret Eckenfels; two sons, August Eckenfels and Dennis Eckenfels; two brothers, Dave Eckenfels and Richard Eckenfels; four sisters, Joyce Saurwein, Dorothy Quick, Clara Eckenfels and Lissette Eckenfels and two step-daughters, Ruth Hawkins and Martha Padgett.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Eckenfels of Stover; six sons, Jerry Eckenfels, Dale Eckenfels, Terry Eckenfels, Brian Eckenfels, Alan Eckenfels and Bruce Eckenfels; one daughter, Cynthia Eckenfels; five stepchildren, Anna Sell, Rose Loyd, Sandra Hawkins and husband Mike, Melvin Padgett and Sherry Helzer; one brother, Robert Eckenfels; two sisters, Laverne Martin and Barbara Eckenfels; a half-brother, Carl Angel; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; step-great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.Funeral Services for August F.
