April Hampton nee Stokes, 50 of St. Clair passed away May 1, 2012 at her home.

April was born July 12, 1961 in Washington, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Stephanie Stokes and granddaughter, Corina Wilken.

Mrs. Hampton is survived by her son, Cory Gumpenberger of St. Clair; her mother Carolyn Miller of St. Clair; her father, Warren Stokes, Sr. of Arizona; two brothers, Warren Stokes and wife Monica of Belvidere, IL and Dennis Ammerman and wife Tanya of St. Clair; two sisters, Sue Brigenhorst of Villa Ridge and Jay Tweedy and husband Tom of St. Clair; granddaughter, Jayda Clayton; significant other, Robert "Nute" Wells of St. Clair; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
