Antonio "Tony" Torres of Union, MO passed away Monday, May 29, 2023 at the age of 80 years.  He was born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico on June 13, 1942; the son of Juan Torres and his wife, Angela (Lopez).  Tony attended school in Coamo, Puerto Rico before relocating to the United States. He was united in marriage to Joyce Livengood on October 23, 1971 in St. Clair, MO and the couple made their home in Union.  Tony was employed by Daimler Chrysler in Fenton before retirement in 2005 after 42 years of service. He was a member of Christ Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in St. Clair.  The time Tony cherished most was the time spent with his family and friends. His love for his family was evident, as they were his pride and joy, and he never missed an activity his grandchildren had.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Angela Torres; and eight brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Joyce Torres of Union; three sons: Luis Torres of Springfield, MA., Jose Torres of Puerto Rico, and Tony Torres and wife Ricki of Washington; three daughters: Tonette Engelken and husband Charlie of Las Vegas, NV., Elaine Coppedge of Union, and Andrea Muser and husband Kyle of Union; fifteen grandchildren: Greg Coppedge, Mia Grayson, Reese Torres, Gavin Torres, Klay Muser, Melissa Torres, Luis Antonio Torres Jr., Cynthia Torres, Giovanni Torres, Nicholas Torres, Dakota Atkins, Emily Engelken, Iliana Torres, Joussie Torres, and Luis Alexander Torres; numerous great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
