Allen Harley
Sugden
September 24, 1948 – November 22, 2021
Allen Harley Sugden formerly of Wisconsin, presently of Washington, passed away, November 22, 2021, after a long illness.
On September 24, 1948, Allen was born to the union of John D. Sugden and Janice (Fogo) in Whitehall, Wisconsin.
Harley was a proud Vietnam veteran with the United States Navy.
He enjoyed cooking for others. Family and friends will miss his famous deviled eggs. He was always helping his neighbors. Harley was also an avid reader.
Harley will be remembered for his mischievous sense of humor, stories filled with laughter and a memory larger than an encyclopedia. He was very proud to be an uncle and great-uncle, whether he was attending games, confirmations, communions and many other events. Harley spoke from his heart when he spoke to and about his nieces and nephews. They loved when he shared life lessons in his humorous way.
In his later years as his health declined, he became the classic grumpy old man, but nevertheless could still crack a joke to make himself and others smile and laugh. He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of family and many friends. He was truly loved and will be missed greatly.
Harley was preceded in death by his parents, John D. and Janice Sugden; sister, Cheryal Sugden; brother-in-law, David Egli.
He is survived by one son, Kyle; two daughters, Shannon and Nicole; two sisters, Peggy Moe and significant other Scott Hofer of Wisconsin and Tamra Egli and significant other Mike Harrington of Washington; nieces and nephews; Cory, Barry and Darcy Moe of Wisconsin, Jessica Mueller and Ian Egli of Washington, Adrienne Egli of New Haven and Erika Kluesner and husband Nick of Marthasville; other relatives and many friends.
Harley was a registered Organ Donor.
