Allen Phillips, 67, of Union passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Phillips, son of Dale and Bernice Phillips was born April 2, 1949 in Salem, Illinois.

On June 6, 1971, he was united in marriage to Cathy Whitaker in Salem, Illinois.

Mr. Phillips served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He worked as a Manager of Track Maintenance for the Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement.

Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Cathy Phillips and one sister Sandra Shoemaker.

He is survived by two sons, Corey Phillips and wife Kathryn of Union and Brian Phillips and wife Michelle of Union; one sister, Judy Shoemaker and husband Donald of Salem, IL; five grandchildren, Emily Phillips, Briana Phillips, Autumn Phillips, Ashley Phillips and Chris Phillips; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
