Alice Marie Lewis nee Johnson, 85, of St. Clair passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Lewis, daughter of Robert Johnson and wife Maggie (Ridenour) was born August 21, 1932 in Richwoods.

On May 17, 1958 she was united in marriage to Paul R. Lewis in St. Clair.

She was a faithful member of St. Clair Southern Baptist Church in St. Clair and donated her time for Sunday School.

She enjoyed gardening for flowers and vegetables. As a talented seamstress she made clothes and many other items for everyone she knew. She made many beautiful quilts that were given to friends and family. If you were a guest at her home, she made sure you never left hungry.

Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Maggie Johnson; her husband, Paul R. Lewis; seven siblings, Dorothy Johnson, Paul Johnson, Robert "Bob" Johnson Jr., John "David" Johnson, Jane Barron, Mary Miller and Edna Brown.

She is survived by four daughters, Tammie Green and husband Kenneth of St. Clair, Leisha Lewis of St. Clair, Michelle Suehs and husband Greg of Grubville and Sheila Atchison and husband Larry of Dittmer; one brother, William "Hadley" Johnson of Lonedell; seven grandchildren, Ryan Green and wife Amy of Lonedell, Stefanie Robins of Stanton, Andrea Sieve and husband John of Leslie, Lindsey McFerrin and husband Adam of Union, Devon Beste and husband Nathan of Union, Kegan Atchison and wife Amber of St. Clair and Reece Atchison of Dittmer; eleven great-grandchildren, Emerson, Silas, Sadie, Barrett, Alora, Scarlett, Hannah, Wyatt, Finley, Ever and Rowan; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to St. Clair Southern Baptist Church are preferred.
