Alec "Rich" Lawson, 78, of Union, passed away, Monday, November 14, 2022, at his home.

On April 14, 1944, Rich was born to the union of William Lawson and Anna (Bay) in Cuba, Missouri.

Rich was a graduate of Rhema Bible School.

He was united in marriage on December 4, 1964, to Marjorie (Yount) in Illinois.

Rich was an iron worker with Missouri Local 396 and Alaska Local 751 and was employed as an iron worker for 40 years.

He was an active member of the Life Stream Church in Washington, Missouri.

Rich enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. Rich and Marjorie loved traveling and have been to many places over the course of their 58 years of marriage, his favorite place being Alaska. Most of all, Rich was very much a family man and loved being in the company of his loving family and grandchildren. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Lawson and Anna Douglas; brother, David Lawson; stepbrother, David Douglas.

Rich is survived by his wife, Marjorie Lawson of Union; two sons, Darrell Lawson of Leslie and Jason Lawson of Rosebud; two daughters, Regena Lawson of Villa Ridge and Sonja Webb and husband Danny of Villa Ridge; brother, Roger Lawson and wife Lana of Kansas City; two stepbrothers, Dennis Douglas and wife Melody of Alaska and Donnie Douglas and wife Janice of Oregon; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren with one more on the way; other relatives and many friends.
