Albertine "Miquette" Julieann Brock nee Barrey, 97, of Villa Ridge passed away May 24, 2018.

Mrs. Brock, daughter of Albert Barrey and wife Jeanne nee Forrest was born July 17, 1920 in Paris, France.

On June 21, 1947 she was united in marriage to James Oscar Brock in Paris, France.

During World War II she helped her father distribute passports to people, so they could vacate Europe. Her heroic actions saved many lives.

Some of the fondest family memories of mom are growing vegetables and a wide variety of flowers in her garden. She loved cooking for family and friends while taking in the enjoyment of their company.

Mrs. Brock was of the Christian Faith and attended the Ridge Church in Villa Ridge.

Mrs. Brock was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Jeanne Barrey; her husband, James Oscar Brock; one brother, Miquet Barrey and two sons-in-law, Rex Baker and Tim Hunter.

She is survived by three daughters, Denise Baker of Germantown, TN., Barbara Schaefer and husband Kerry of Villa Ridge and Claudette Hunter of Fort Smith, AR.; one brother-in-law, Marvin Brock; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
