Obituary

Alberta "Bert" M. Beyer (Adkins), 74, of Lonedell, passed away, Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at her home in the comforting presence of her loving family.

On September 1, 1947, Alberta was born to the union of Albert Adkins and Dorothy (Hamm) in Salem, Missouri.

Alberta was united in marriage on May 16, 1964, in Saint Roberts, Missouri to Herman Beyer. Together they shared 58 wonderful years.

She worked many jobs throughout the years but her most recent employment before retiring was with Walgreens as a bookkeeper for more than 10 years.

Alberta was an excellent quilter and created several beautiful quilts over the years. She also enjoyed being outdoors camping and fishing. Alberta loved her flower gardens, especially her red roses. Watching her cardinal birds was also a favorite pass time. Alberta was an avid collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia. Most of all "Bert" as she was known, loved her family and friends very much along with her dog, "Sweet Pea". She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Adkins and wife Juanita "Babe" and Dorothy Hoffmeister; one son, Steve Beyer; and one sister, Michelle Shields; brother-in-law, Mike Thomas.

Alberta is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Herman Beyer of Lonedell; daughter, Tina Flower and husband Scott of Belgrade; two brothers, Jack "Butch" Adkins and wife Valerie of Union and Tom Devlin and wife Cindy of Florida; two sisters, JoAnn Thomas of Festus and Judy Redman and husband Dave of High Ridge; three grandchildren, Corey Flower and wife Ashley of Creve Coeur, Dustin Flower of Maryland and Brandi Flower of Florida; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations may be made to Mercy Hospice in Washington for the excellent care they provided for Alberta and her family.
