Adam Joseph Laycook, 30, of Gerald passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 in St. Louis.
Adam, son of Barry Laycook and wife Cindy nee Mesger was born January 7, 1986 in Washington, Missouri.
Adam was a Boy Scout at Post 448 in Gerald receiving status of Life Scout.
He loved to have fun, crack jokes and make people smile. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
At age 16 he started working for the Lonigro family in Gerald and Owensville, after a short time he was promoted to the Meat Cutter position. He took great pride in his work and provided excellent customer service.
Adam was preceded in death by his great-grandparents; his grandparents, Bob Laycook, June Mesger and Norman "Red" Mesger; one aunt, Kelly Sohn and one uncle, Brian Laycook.
He is survived by his parents, Barry and Cindy Laycook of Gerald; his grandmother, Pansy Laycook of Gerald; lifelong family friend, Jim Long of Gerald; numerous aunts; numerous uncles; many cousins; other relatives and many friends.
A memorial visitation will be held 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald. A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald with family friend and Pastor Glenn Hollander officiating.
