Renee Mathena nee Romanoski, 35 of St. Clair passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 in Washington.

Renee was born October 24, 1974 in Rolla, Missouri.

On July 28, 1995 she was united in marriage to Rick Mathena in Union.

Renee was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jerry Johnson.

Renee is survived by her husband, Rick Mathena of St. Clair; two sons, Anthony Mathena and Zain Mathena; one daughter, Julie Romanoski; one step-son, Jonathan Mathena; her mother, Mindy Cowsert and husband Steve of St. Clair; her father, Mike Romanoski and wife Jeannie of Stanton; one brother, Mike Romanoski, Jr. of St. Clair; her grandfather, Richard C. Johnson of St. Clair; two grandchildren, Satin Mathena and Judah Mathena; one step-sister, Chassidy Harris and husband Matt of Sullivan; two step-brothers, Steve Cowsert, Jr. of St. Clair and Jeffrey Cowsert of Atlanta, Georgia;; father in-law and mother in-law, Ray and Sharon Herrlein of Sullivan; father in-law, Henry Mathena of Sullivan; brother in-law and sister in-law, Chris and Lori Newcomb of Ruckersville, Virginia; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union with Reverend Tom Ison officiating. Interment at Midlawn Memorial Gardens, Union.
